On 8 June 2021, I delivered a talk titled "Accessible Educational Games: Challenges & Opportunities" as part of Empower Week, organized by the European Association of Distance Teaching Universities.

Hot take: most games are educational. They teach persistence, problem-solving and a variety of social skills amongst many other benefits. Games are also increasingly developed primarily for educational purposes as we see with educational games and serious games amongst other terms.

All of this and more is why it is important to have a conversation on accessibility of games at large and educational games in specific.
